While she loves the practical aspects of ministry, her passion is helping others discover and develop their unique gifts, talents & purpose

When Shanda was 8 years old, her Mother handed her a clip art book & a pair of scissors to keep her quiet - I mean, so she could help with their church’s Sunday bulletin, and she hasn’t stopped serving since.  As she grew up, she sharpened her music, puppet, and flannelgraph skills in the various churches where her parents served in the states of Florida and Texas, eventually ending up in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Shanda studied Music & English Education at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where she toured internationally with several groups, helping solidify both her love of travel and her love for people. By the late 1990’s, she was living in the Nashville area, working in the Christian Music Industry while serving as part-time admin staff at her local church.   She started attending Oasis in May of 2008, and joined our staff in January of 2010.

Here at Oasis, Shanda coordinates the administrative team that maintains the online membership database for our physical & online campuses.  She also helps coordinate our social media and church communications and volunteers on several of our Dream Teams.  While she loves the practical aspects of ministry, her passion is helping others discover and develop their unique gifts, talents & purpose so they can make a lasting impact on their circles of influence.  An aspiring writer, over the last several years she has been blessed with the opportunity to speak at conferences, retreats and women’s events – sharing her heart for encouraging and developing the people behind the information.
