      Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them.

      They were straining to get to the DESTINATION that Jesus had told them to go. That made them a people of DESTINY

      Between U & your Destiny, Storms, opposition, barriers will threaten to stop U!

      Barrier = any obstacle that prevents movement, access, progress, growth, Success
        Cultural, Educational, Language, Rejection, Money, Fear, Addictive,

      What kind of Barriers have U allowed to defy U & keep you from winning in life?

      Narrowed FOCUS... Where would you be in 12 months if the things that really mattered the most in your life got the very best of your time, talent & treasure?

      We’re preoccupied with what we’re getting & where we’re going in life, while God is preoccupied with what we’re becoming in life.

      What you’re becoming is inextricably (impossible to disentangle) intertwined with Where you’re going!  Your Promise Land is Preceded by your Personhood

      If you don’t BECOME who God Predestined you to be, you don’t get to GO where He’s Predestined you to Go!

      To Stay in it to Win it...

      1. Work Through Relational Issues

      2 Cor 5:17-20 Msg Bible

      Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it!  All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. 


      Anytime you are in a season of Transition there will be Relational Shift happening

      · Some people will Exit, New People will Enter = It’s God’s Plan!
      · Barnabas Exit, Silas Entered, Macedonian Call, Greater Impact
      · Barnabas not Wrong… just Transitional!!!

      Once you see a clear Picture of your Future it will Anger some and Inspire others

      When people walk out of your life they usually say negative things about you…

      Always an attempt of the enemy to get you to dwell on their approval at the expense of breaking your focus from moving forward

       The person whose opinion matters most to you will ultimately affect your future for the good or the bad

       You won’t reach your God Given Dreams if you keep hanging out with people who have none!

       You won’t become all God has called you to be if keep spending time with people who are jealous of who you’re becoming!


      2. Follow Through on Commitments

      Commitment precedes Conception
      You’ll Never Win in life if your not a Follow Through Person

      Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How long will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.

      We’re a Generation of Starters... Diets, Jobs, Hobby’s, even our Christianity...

      Until you are committed there is hesitancy.

      Whatever you can dream you can begin, but without commitment there will be no conception and without conception a vision never comes to birth!

      3. Press Through Problems Bigger than You

      1 John 5:4-5
      Every God-begotten person conquers the world's ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith.
      The person who wins out over the world's ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.

      Your Destiny is often revealed in Your Difficulties.
        Without a Goliath David would have just been a talented good looking shepherd that wrote songs and gigged on the weekends.
        Without a Den of Hungry Lions Daniel would have just been an intelligent intercessor instead of a History Maker
        If Christ had not encountered a Cross there would have never been a Resurrection!
