SHEcooks - A Cause for Cooking

Sitting across a dinner table in Brisbane, Australia, my heart was overwhelmed with the passion my friend began to share for the sex trafficking victims in Cambodia. She was not only moved, she was MANDATED. Her contagious compassion is what birthed the idea in me for this project. So I asked myself, "What can I do?"

Well unlike Rachel Ray and Paula Deen, cooking is not on the top of that list. In fact, it may very well be below the midline. However, I am blessed with some of the world's greatest girlfriends and many of them most certainly CAN cook. It just took gathering the ingredients of friendship, collecting recipes, and them blending hearts and minds together to create this scrumptious project.

You must know that this is more than just a book of recipes. This is a collaboration of memories, moments, and delight that will empower and inspire victims of human trafficking to a new life of freedom, full of hope.
